After Facing Ballet School Rejections Abroad, Ajala Became His Own Teacher. I first discovered this extraordinary instructor in 2020 when a video of one of his students went viral.

Growing up in Nigeria, I had no exposure to ballet schools, so when I stumbled upon the 11-second viral clip of Anthony Madu dancing barefoot in the rain, I was both intrigued and amazed.

During my trip to Nigeria in May, I sought out Anthony's teacher, Mr. Daniel Ajala. We had a meaningful conversation about dreams, aspirations, and the future of ballet in Nigeria.
